Introduction India, on move, has its own wheels of science and technology. Fivefold growth in Literacy rate, sixteen-fold rise in wheat output, forty-eight-fold growth in per capita power consumption, telephone connections shooting up from 1.1 million to 672 million, and doctors from 0.5 per to 64 per lac population are potential indicators of the strong base and growth of science and technology in India, in the last 63 years (TOI. 2010).
